Default Why was ventolin Inhaler taken off the market?

Ventolin inhaler is used for those who suffer from asthma. The inhaler was recently taken off the market -no longer sold in pharmacies in the USA. I was wondering WHY WAS IT REMOVED FROM THE SHELVES?

Default RE: Why was ventolin Inhaler taken off the market?

Some inhalers were taken taken off from the market due to CFC (chlorofluorocarbons) reported in them. These were tested rigorously and inhalers with hydrofluoroalkane (HFC) propelling system were introduced to replace the earlier CFC ones.
