Default I was diagnosed with an ulcer a couple of years ago. It has stopped responding to medication.?

It hurts constantly. I take Aciphex, OTC Pepcid, Tagamet and Zantac and TUMS. Nothing helps. I have talked to my doctor who said that this is just part of having an ulcer. It is not h. pylori--I was tested. Any ideas, or similar experiences?

Talk to your doctor about Nexium. It's a medication that repairs the lining of your stomach over about a month or so and that should help with your pain. It can be pretty expensive and difficult to get authorized by insurances, so ask your doctor if they have any samples that you can try for a month or so. If you find that it works for you, then you can see about getting your insurance to pay for it. If it helps you then the cost might just be worth it.
