Hermione, the fact that they are two different classes of medication has no bearing on the allergic potential. There are many cases of cross-sensitivity between classes. However, this is not one of those cases. You are crrect in that there is no penicillin issue with zofran. But not for the reason stated.

Zofran is indicated to prevent nausea and vomiting which may be caused by surgery or chemotherapy. Zofran is a completely different drug from penicillin. If you want to replace penicillin, look for another antibiotic.

Penicillin is an antibiotic, and zofran is an antiemetic (antinausea). There's no reason to assume that because you are allergic to one, you'll be allergic to the other; they're different classes of drugs.
