not one or the other is helping......so maybe I need both?

If neither is helping, the combination probably won't help you either. It won't hurt you to take them together, though - they won't interact and do bad things.
If the medications you have are ineffective, the best course of action is to call the prescribing physician and let him/her know what is going on so that you can get the help you need. |

I have prescriptions for both Phenergan and Zofran. My doctor advised me to alternate which one I took each day, but he never advised me to take them together. Even when neither worked and he had to put me on 5 day steroids, he still didn't suggest taking both.
Call your doctor's office and leave a message for the nurse to be sure though. |

They have different mechanisms of action so I would assume it would be okay. But these are powerful drugs so I would try calling a pharmacist to be sure.
