I'm not sure what the etiology of your nausea is, I mean, if it's just viral gastroenteritis, and you can tolerate p.o. meds, then certainly there's other things you can try, I never had good results with phenergan. Pregnancy? totally forget what is okay, so I won't even touch that.
If you're undergoing chemo, then call the oncologist/treatment center and have them page the oncologist to find a more suitable antiemetic. |

Man, if they are not helping you are in real trouble. Did you take the maximim dose? Did you try to sleep afterward. Often times I have to take the largest dose my doc will allow and then sleep it off. Only after the rest does my body feel better.
Good luck I've also been given a cocktail of several anti nausea meds in the ER - maybe you need that- plus they can give you more than you can give yourself and the IV style sometimes works better. |
