Doesn't sugar have something to do with the yeast your body creates? I started taking Glucophage a little over a month ago for weight loss and since have been getting sporadic yeast infections. They're weird, there will be itching inside, not really outside and it will last for a day or so and then go away. Then it will be back again another day. Not to be gross, but I had always heard the expression "cottage cheese" but had never experienced that myself until now. That's totally what this looks like. Also, I had a complete hysterectomy about 4 years ago, if that makes any difference. I don't go back to my obgyn for another month, so please help!

glucophage is common for therapy in type 2 diabetes, it does not cause yeast infections, yeast is an over growth of a fungus which feeds on sugars you ingest, also bread or products containing yeast, simple treatment, get and use a vinegar douche, this will restore proper ph, next get plain yogurt be sure it says (live active lactobacillus culters on the label) thin with water and douche again or coat tampon with yogurt and insert in vagina for about an hour or so this will help to restore the natural bacteria that keep yeast at bay, next diet eliminate all sugar and bread products make plain yogurt a part of your daily diet avoid the fruity stuff it has lots of sugar, monitor sugar levels and keep under control! it is not recommended to douche more than 3 times a month
