Default Can glucophage help you loose weight?

my dr just prescribe glucophage for weight loss, has anyone taken this for weight loss?

Hmmm... I guess that would work, though it might be better to just limit carbohydrate intake in the first place.

Another name for it is Metformin and it's a diabetes medication. It's also prescribed to women who have polycystic ovarian syndrome. I never lost any weight with it, but that's just me.

Glocophage does not help you to lose weight as it is able to regulate blood sugar levels .Its generic name is Metformin.

Of course!!! it will loose your weight. I also used that thing and i really loose my weight 10kg. Trust on your doctor and do as he said. Don't trust on anybody.

My weight problem is not over eating it is because I'm lazy I don't have no energy what so ever.

It could work for some but here are the side effects that you should watch out for:
Diarrhea
Gas
Indigestion
Headache
Nausea
Temporary metallic taste
Stomach upset
Vomiting
Lots of allergic reaction such as: rashes, itching, tightness in the chest, difficulty in breathing, swelling of the mouth, lips, face and tongue.
Chest pain or having discomfort
Lightheadedness and dizziness
Difficult and fast breathing
Chills
Fever
Unusual cold
Persistent sore throat
Muscle pain and weakness
General feeling of being unwell
Irregular and slow heartbeat
Unusual weakness or tiredness
