If the cause of bad breath is not due to the mouth, then it might be good to take a visit to the doctor as there could be something wrong with you internally. I barely know people with bad breath because it is not easy to prevent specially if you are healthy.

Also, here are remedies to keep bad breath away:
Use spices like cloves, fennel, or anise seeds to chew after odoriferous meals.
Brush your tongue
Avoid certain beverages: coffee and alcohol are some sample
always leave with a toothbrush
Gargle
don't say pass on parsley
have a mint or a gum
decrease cheese intake

Bad breath can be a very unpleasant. Here are few advices how to stop bad breath: don't let your tongue become a dirty carpet, chew gum, drink more water.

Brush your teeth thrice a day after you eat and rinse it with mouthwash. If ever try to avoid foods that will cause bad breath.
