Default Re: Does drinking beer hurt if you are on Plavix?

Actually Beer is a healthy drink for your heart. The researches have shown that moderate consumption of beer reduces the chances of blood clots(read more) which is somewhat similar to the purpose of taking Plavix (Clopidogrel).

But I would suggest to have a chat with your doctor before mixing them both.

It maybe be good for the heart but of course, anything that is good, when taken too much of it, will be bad for the health. Too much alcohol can give the following side effects:flushing, confusion, trouble controlling emotions, blackouts, loss of coordination, seizures, drowsiness, trouble breathing, hypothermia, low blood sugar, vomiting, diarrhea, bleeding, irregular heartbeat, and others.
