No...Lasix and HCTZ are two different medications, even though they might share the same effects. I would discuss this with your doctor and see if it would be safe to switch to a different medication. Never ever substitute medications one for another...This can have detrimental effects!!!

No, unless your doctor changes you. Lasix is stronger than Hydrochlorothiazide. Never change prescribed medications without your doctor's approval.

they are not equal to each other if that's what you're asking...they work differently and are not the same exact medication...only your doctor should be switching your medications and i would encourage you to talk to him
