I was RX'd Macrodantin last night at the ER, shortly after finding out I was pregnant, in the list of things to tell your doctor, it says if you are pregnant or may become pregnant, also, I was diagnosed with Filo....I think that's how you spell it....either way, it's a kidney infection derived from a progressed UTI, in the paperwork, it says not to take it if you have a kidney problem, should I be worried about it? I've already taken 3 of the pills.....what should I do?

The best thing is to call your doctor and express your concerns. I think the reason they say not to take it if you have a kidney problem is that if your kidneys are not working well, the Macrodantin will not get into the urine to do its job. Hopefully that is not the case for you. However, another issue is that Macrodantin is good for regular UTI's but may not work as well for pyelonephritis (I think that is what you are saying you have). Hopefully your doctor will be able to get the culture results and can choose a drug that will be effective and also safe in pregnancy. Good luck, and I hope you feel better soon.
