Default Singulair Pediatric Side Effects?

The pediatric ENT prescribed Singulair Granulates for my 3 year old daughter swollen sinuses and congestion. Does anyone experienced any side effects from this drug?

Both of my kids take this med., and never had any side effects from it. The one thing I like about it is that it does not make them droggy.

My son has used that a couple of times. This is actually one med we didn't see side affects with. It worked really well for him.

My son is 4 now, but when he was 3 his doctor put him on the regular Singulair chewable tablets. This medication was the first that made any noticeable difference in his coughs/croup/asthma. So far it has worked great and we've seen absolutely no side effects.

However, the granuals were another story. I couldn't get my son to TAKE them. They were disgusting and putting them "on a spoonful of applesauce" was very messy and not effective at all. My son ended up with tons of singulair on his lips and none in his system. I'd go back to the doc and ask for chewables!

I took the adult version of singulair for out of control allergies. It gave me really bad headaches almost like migraines. Once I stopped the Singulair the headaches disappeared. However, I have known many people who have taken Singulair successfully without problems. I guess I am just the oddball. Good luck.

The Food and Drug Administration issued an 'early communication' yesterday that they were "investigating a possible association between the use of Singulair and behavior/mood changes, suicidality (suicidal thinking and behavior) and suicide.

My child had vivid (bad) dreams which is a possible side-effect, but we just changed the dosage time and it went away.
