Default Is it OK to drink alcohol with Singulair?

I take it and I drink. Just don't go and drink a whole bottle. it is ok to have a couple with friends. It shouldn't effect the meds

What does it say on the package. Read them. Alcohol is never a good idea.

God bless you and keep you healthy.

"Singulair may cause dizziness. These effects may be worse if you take it with alcohol.try to use Singulair with caution. Do not perform other possibly unsafe tasks until you know how you react to it."

It's not. I think the best way to find out is to do "trial and error" for your own body

I used take an antihistamine daily and I used to take Singulair (in addition to the antihistamine) for many years. I never experienced side effects from them.

Sometimes I drink (while taking them). I never had any problem with that either.

Of course, I never drive if I have even a single dose of alcohol. And never drink alcohol (not even a sip) if there is any possibility that I may need to be responsible (such as take care of a child without another adult present), drive, etc. That is just my personal policy. I am really paranoid about that. Don't get me wrong - I love to relax, party with my friends, and have a good time... and I love to have a couple drinks... I just cannot include the drinks if I have to be responsible. So - nope not even a glass of wine with a dinner.

In any case, I never felt any difference in having alcohol with Singulair vs without Singulair.

But every one is different.

It might be possible that you(@naomi) didn't have a problem while having Singulair while having Alcohol, but it not something that is recommended by your physician therefore you must avoid taking both together.

Never give a singulair to a child without doctor's advice. Singulair is used to prevent exercise-induced bronchoconstriction(narrowing of the air passages in the lungs) in adults and teenagers who are at least 15 years old and are not already taking this medicine for other conditions. So, it is always preferred to use singulair in balanced quantity and with the doctor's prescription.

actually, never give or take any kind of medicine (not the usual ones like aspirin and vitamins or stomach pills) without the doctor's advice. drugs like singulair can really give tons and tons of side effects
