My doc gave me singulair, but im not sure what it does...does it help slow down your heart rate to counteract the inhaler...or shortness of breath?

It's supposed to be preventative medicine, so it's supposed to help you to not get more asthma attacks. I don't know how well it works though my son just went on it.

The Singular won't effect your heart rate and how it is supposed to 'counteract' the inhaler.
It is rather given to amplify the effect of inhaled drugs and provide relief in bronchospasm and allergic conditions.
