My 19 month old has a fever and I cant remember how much motrin the dr had me give him the last time he was sick. Its too late to call the office, and he weights more than the chart on the bottle has. I know they had a different and specific amount. I don't want to risk an overdose so I gave him the biggest amount listed on the bottle. But he weights 28lbs and I don't know if he is gonna need more. If anyone has and info on this please let me know.

My son is 18 months old and weighs 28 lbs. The last I was told from the ped is that he can have 1 tsp. of Children's Motrin. I don't remember what that translates to in infant motrin, though -- maybe 1.6 mL, so two droppersful?
Sorry I can't be more help... |

I'm pretty much sure that it's one teaspoon.. but to be on the safe side, why not ask a doctor..?

For children below 2 year of age, ibuprofen(motrin) that should be given orally is maximum of 10mg/kg weight of the child during a period of 6-8 hours.
It means if your kid weighs 15 kg you should provide a liquid dose of 150 mg ibuprofen during 6 hours.
