I have been taking 600mg of Motrin every 6hours for the last couple days after having a tooth removed. The dentist said not to drink alcohol while on them 'cause I could damage my liver. Do you know how long I should wait after I stop taking them before I can drink alcohol?

I would say never start drinking again, Alcohol is bad for you but if you do, make sure its been 48 hours

I would wait at least a week. When you consume more of something than the amount your liver can metabolize, the liver will swell and store the substance to be metabolized later whenever it has the resources. This generally isnt bad but alcohol has this effect as well, so it should be avoided for at least 48 hours after the ibuprofen has been stopped. If the liver gets too overloaded, it can fail.

that'll be 48 up to 72 hours.. that's the safest.. hope i was of help..
