Default What is causing this stinging and pain?

Hello all, I am a 23 year old, Caucasian male and about 2 months ago I went to the hospital because my chest had a burning, stinging pain and I was constantly clearing my throat. The doctor prescribed me 5 day z-pak for an infection and after I took it the symptoms went away. A week later the symptoms came back and where much worse, my neck and head began to hurt and it felt like a lot of pressure in my forehead. That slowly went away and about a month later I went to the doctor about it and he prescribed me another 5 day z-pak again but told me he probably wouldnt take it and it would go away on its own. Its been about 2 weeks then my upper body starts having this stinging feeling. It started with just a little discomfort in my chest and forearms, especially when pressure was put on them but now my forearm, armpit, chest and stomach all have stinging feeling and sometimes slightly itchy. I have no fever but am still clearing my throat constantly and the phlegm has a awkward taste. Could this be just another symptom of the infection?

ZPAK or Azithromycin is used to treat many different types of infections caused by bacteria, such as respiratory infections, skin infections, ear infections, and sexually transmitted diseases.Other medicines for respiratory infections are:
Acetaminophen (Tylenol) can be used to reduce fever and body aches.

Nonsteroidal antiinflammatory drugs such as ibuprofen (Motrin, Advil) can be used for body aches and fever.

Antihistamines such as diphenhydramine (Benadryl) are helpful in decreasing nasal secretions and congestions.

Nasal ipratropium (topical) can be used to diminish nasal secretions.

Cough medications (antitussives) can be used to reduce cough. Many cough medications are commercially available such as dextromethorphan, guaifenesin (Robitussin), and codeine all have shown benefits in reducing cough in upper respiratory infections.

Honey can be used in reducing cough.

Steroids such as (dexamethasone (Decadron )and prednisone orally (and nasally) are sometimes used reduce inflammation of the airway passage and decrease swelling and congestion.

Decongestants such as pseudoephedrine (Sudafed) Actifed oral, phenylephrine (Neo-synephrine nasal) can be used to reduce nasal congestion (generally not recommended in children less than 2 years of age and not recommended for individuals with high blood pressure).

Oxymetazoline (Afrin) nasal solution is a decongestant, but should only be used for short-term.

Combination medications containing many of these components are also widely available over the counter.

You must take these symptoms seriously. I have seen patients who had the similar chest pain and they confused it with something else like acidity or respiratory symptoms; and finally finding out blockages in their blood vessel.

I advise you to visit a cardiologist and undergo the tests which are advised.

I think it has something to do with the medications. Ask your doctor about it so that he can change the medications for your right away.
