Nizoral is a good product, but it is not a stand alone product. But it is a great product to include in your routine.

There are severeal forms of baldenss. If it is male pattern baldness (Androgenetic alopecia) then the hairloss cannot be fully cured in most cases, but just frozen for some time with the treatments availiable on market today.

1) Hair transplant (FUE technology) creates really natural hairline, no scars, the best way to go if you have enough donor hair and money of course.

2. Propecia (Finasteride) and Minoxidil are the only ones approved by FDA and proven to work in most men so far.

http://www.rogaine.com

But before you consider to start propecia you must really study about the side effects. It can mess your hormones real bad if you are not lucky, so you must choose, hair or these side effects. Quite a big perecent have these side effects, more than Merck - the company that holds

Propecia trademark is saying. see www.propeciahelp.com

Generic Propecia (finasteride) is also ok. I use it with same results, and unfortunately same sides(a bit dry feeling in the scalp) as brand propecia. Have tried lots of herbal c..p before it and laser combs, so far the only thing that prevents my hairloss, not much regrowth, but has stopped my hairloss completely.

I buy from this pharmacy for the last 2 years - http://www.1rx.biz/generic_propecia.html . It is under $1 per pill as I buy the 90 pills. (89$ for 90)

Nizoral 2% Shampoo does help with hair loss and you should use it in conjunction with Rogaine Extra Strength 5%. The list of side effects you can get from orally administered hair loss treatments such as Propecia is ridiculous, stay well away. Hopefully Nizoral and Rogaine can help keep us in the game long enough for a more effective and safer hair loss treatment in the future.

Researchers have found that men using Nizoral had about an 8% increase in the thickness of their hair and shed about 16% fewer hairs over a 24 hour period. The research was done over a 6 month period.

However, the suggestion to use this shampoo once a week is ineffective. It is recommended for people with dandruff to use Nizoral once or two times a week, but people who want to maximise its potential to help stop hair loss and aid in regrowth, should use it at least 3 times a week but no more than 4 times, in simple retrospect, you should alternate the use of Nizoral with your normal shampoo every other day. Rogaine has its own clinically proven benefits and directions on use.

I've included sources below if you want to read for yourself.

Nizoral is typically used to treat dandruff conditions. It can be used daily without problem in place of your usual shampoo.

If your hairloss is the resutt of some type of scalp or hair folicle infection it may help. It certainly won't hurt to try for a few weeks but remember it takes time for new hair growth to become obvious so be patient.

I was losing my hair at 29 years of age in 1999. Now 8 years later i have regained my mop of hair. I diligently researched scientifically proven hair products--not those alternative methods and crappy infomericals that waste your money.

I know what works and what doesnt work. Again, I based my observations on scientific proof by "medical" experts.

Here is what promotes hairgrowth:

1.)Nizoral

2.)Head and Shoulders

3.)Nano Shampoo

4.)Finasteride(Fincar, proscar)

5.)Minoxidil

Dont ever steer away from these 5 products in your quest for more hair growth. I have used all these products continously for 5 years. I stopped using most of these products a few years ago because I have regrown most of my hair. I just use head and shoulders occasionally while maintaining my hair. Im approaching 40 in a few months.

Also stick to a Vegan diet. More nutrients the better.

Thats the best advice I can give you on hairgrowth with hundeds of hours of research. Also go to Hair Loss & Alopecia Information & Support. What really works?

I understand how you feel because I've been in that situation before. I tried using different kinds of shampoos to stop my hair loss but it didn't work for me. But good for me i found the right solution. Proper diet, enough time of sleep and not worrying too much can prevent this problem.
