Default Trozodone Desyrel overdose?

After getting into rehab and off her addiction, my sister has developed (or re-introduced) depression and she's taking a variety of antidepressant medications (concurrently zolofts, celexa, belbutrin etc.) for the past year. The last one now (Prozac 40-60 mg) had Lamictral added (an anti-convulsant/bi-polar med), but a diagnosis of bi-polar has not been confirmed . She told me that on Saturday she took about 9 Desyrel pills (thinking that they were 25mg pills when they were 50mg pills = 450mg). She was previously complaining about having very bad memory, confusion etc.

I called her on Sunday afternoon, and she was miserable, I checked on her and she was all bruised and had a small hematoma on her back head. I asked her what had happened, and she said that she went to the bathroom last night and found herself on the floor twice (in the bathroom and later in the sleeping room) with has no recollection of what had happened (not feeling dizzy, or nauseated, not remembering the fall, just waking up confused, unknowing how long it had been etc. We helped her out a bit, and let her sleep (we didn't know about the meds at this time).

the next few days she was very dizzy, unbalanced, sleepy etc.. Slowly these symptoms subsided by Wednesday, but there is still a confusion, short term memory problem. What is happening to her?

Are these the effects of medication interactions/overdose/ or lesions from the previous substance abuse (alcohol, dmx, LDS, marijuana etc. We are concerned that this could be a permanent problem like Wernicke-Korsakoff syndrome (she's been off and clean for 4-5 months after 25 yrs. of abuse). Please no stupid comments, you could be affected with this terrible disease or have someone you love in your family having it. It's no fun to watch this.

Sounds like the effects of overdose plus drug interaction to me. I don't think it's Wernicke-Korsakoff, but you might suggest to get a brain scan to rule that out (it may show distinct symptoms, degeneration of the hypothamus etc.)

Growth hormone is a peptide-based protein. It promotes growth, cell reproduction and renewal of people and animals. GH 191-amino acid, a polypeptide that is synthesized, stored, and excreted in the somatotroph cells of the lateral wings of the anterior pituitary gland.

It could have been overdose and addiction to it. Here are some side effects that you should observe and tell your doctor about this drug:
Painful erection or prolonged (4 hours)
allergic reaction: hives; difficulty breathing; swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat.
mood or behavior changes, anxiety, panic attacks, trouble sleeping
feeling light-headed, fainting;
fever, chills, body aches, flu symptoms; or
chest pain or heavy feeling, pain spreading to the arm or shoulder, nausea, sweating, general ill feeling; or
problems with urination.
