Is there a side effect when an overweight take this medication? If there is, is there an alternative to treat depression for overweight people? Thanks

From what I've seen and experienced, it depends on the individual. Celexa has led to some pretty dramatic weight gains in a few of my friends. Others seemed unaffected as far as weight gain was concerned. I think it also depends on other external factors -- lifestyle, additional therapy/groups, etc.
