I have been taking Zoloft and Celexa for a long time. Lately I do not feel that they are working. I am jittering and confused a lot of the time and unable to face life's problem or function like I used to. I have a short temper and get mad over dumb things. I just want to be normal.

It sounds like you need a change in meds or dosage. Your doctor might try something else like Lexapro and Xanax. The only way to solve the problem, though, is to meet with your doctor.

have you been diagnosed with bipolar? i know that irritability is a symptom of cycling when you have bipolar.and it's possible that the meds aren't helping anymore because you are cycling.

I recently tried switching my medicines with my doctor because I thought it wasn't working as well as it used to. I tried another and didn't like the side-effects. Rather than trying another one, I just went back with my original medicine. I'm happy with it, but I thought like many that it wasn't working as well as it used to. They can over time be less effective and many people switch to another medicine but I wasn't willing to wait the three weeks for each medicine to see if I liked it or not especially after I hated the first one I tried.
