Can a healthy balance diet and an ritual work out sessions stop or slow down the significant weight gain of Depakote???

I am taking Depakote as well, and yes, eating right and working out does slow down the weight gain. I don't eat a lot, but fruits and vegetables and no junk food, and I have been able to lose the weight I put on from it. It's really hard though, you really have to eat nothing bad for you to keep the weight off, but it can be done
Also, make sure you are getting blood work done every two to three months as Depakote can build in your blood and cause liver problems. Not everyone's doctor tells them this, so I just want to mention it, maybe you already know it. Hope this helps a little |

It might be an idea to discuss with your doctor to treat your Bipolar Disorder nutritionally.

Man you must have a good reason for taking Depakote, I just checked the web, and weight gain would be the least of my worries, the other side effects are of much more concern.
Suggest you check the web for yourself and become better informed. |
