This is not something to fool around with. Depakote is a great medication but can potentially have serious side effects such as fatal hemorrhagic pancreatitis, fulminant hepatitis, and a life-threatening rash called Stevens-Johnson's syndrome
Taking it if you didn't need to--well it could make you a little drowsy, you could feel a little slow mentally, you could get a tremor, you could gain weight, you could have nausea or GI upset, you could lose hair--all things you don't want so never take a med like this unless you have to!!!!! |

Depakote is an anti-seizure medication that is used in epilepsy. It is also used to calm the mania aspect of bi-polar disorder. Not speaking scientifically or medically - the idea that a drug could slow down the brain is a little frightening if your brain is not "speeding". My thought is that it could make one catatonic, maybe unconscious, or put one in a coma. Sweetie, this is a heavy duty anti-psychotic drug and I wouldn't mess with it. Please don't. - Bunny
