I've been prescribed Flagyl...and I have taken it in the past before. It leaves the worst taste in my mouth...which barely goes away. I also have trouble swallowing larger pills. Can I crush Flagyl?? I did with the first pill already. If I try and take a whole pill.....it will never get swallowed and it will melt in my mouth (ugh!!!). Input please!!!

Switching to liquid antibiotics to you about your doctor may need to talk. In the meantime, try taking large doses of water before you take the pill and sit in your mouth. Carefully place your water is shot in the mouth and swallow it with more water. Shot the victim and barbed tongue and mouth will water.
Antibiotics do not consider it a good crush, in order for them to work correctly, they can be resolved gradually and release of funds and control needs throughout the day. Crush leads to rapid metabolism and they may not be effective.

The oral medicines are meant to get metabolized and absorbed at certain point in the path of digestion. So, it is not advised to crush the pill into smaller parts as it can result in inappropriate absorption of the medicine. Rather than doing that you can choose to opt liquid medicine to serve your purpose.
