atarax has a sedating effect for a antihistamine.. it's side effects include the following:
  • Drowsiness.
  • Dry mouth.
  • Dizziness.
  • Muscle weakness.
  • Headache.
  • Confusion.
  • Difficulty passing urine (urinary retention).
  • Blurred vision.
  • Constipation.

It commonly cause sedation, tiredness, sleepiness, dizziness, disturbed coordination, drying and thickening of oral and other respiratory secretions, and stomach distress.

Here are some side effects that you should look out for when using altarax:
Severe allergic reactions (rash; hives; itching; difficulty breathing; tightness in the chest; swelling of the mouth, face, lips, or tongue); involuntary movements.
