I took atarax (hydroxyzine Hydrochloride) last night around 12 and I have been sleeping all day and still am groggy and want to sleep. Why? Shouldn't it be out of my system?

A little bit will still be in your system, but you have to get up and move around to get it out of your system.

If you sleep too much you will be groggy and feel like you want to sleep more.

Suggest you see the MD that prescribed the med. You could need a dosage change or then again some meds take 4 to 6 wks. for the side affects to stop.(contraindications). Try reading the print out that the pharmacy gives you when you get scrip.Or if nothing ask for a consult with the pharmacist !! Still I would see my PCP(Dr.) and discuss the situation ASAP !! If you are taking other meds in combo there may be an interaction and that is definately NOT GOOD !! Hope this helped. Good Luck !!

Vitamin D is certainly having a whole lot of talk during the latter days. Women along with young children are encouraged to acquire increasingly more vitamin D. Vitamin D is definitely the cheapest and also easy approach to protect against some continual disorders like rickets and even brittle bones. This is certainly simply because having less that nutrient leads to brittle bones.

You know whether you don't take any medication after long hours of sleep (more than 10 hours) you will still feel groggy. it happens to me with or without sleeping pills but the best thing to get it off the system is to actually get up, stretch a little, then a good bath. works for me better with coffee and good breakfast.

anti-allergy medications usually causes the person to sleep. I am not an expert but that what I have been experiencing by far whenever I take meds for allergies.

Czerska,
Has this resolved? I have found, sometimes that I think I have a lingering side-effect when I have actually gotten sick so it really wasn't a side-effect. However, if you are STILL groggy today, without being sick (like with a fever), I'd call the doctor. |
